The writers and artists grouped together in VAPLITE (1925–28) spearheaded the cultural revival in Ukraine in the 1920s. The editor has assembled a rich collection of letters, diaries, poetry, and fiction from the archives of VAPLITE. Writers include M. Khvylovy, P. Tychyna, M. Kulish, M. Bazhan, V. Sosiura, A. Lubchenko, O. Vyshnia, and many others.
