Security & Privacy

  • Is my personal information safe?

CIUS is PCI compliant. PCI compliance is a stringent and demanding industry privacy and security standard to ensure the highest levels of data security.

Yes. CIUS respects and protects your private information. CIUSPress is PCI compliant: SAQ Type A, PCI Level 4, for Ecommerce Data Security. CIUS does not store your credit card details, name, number, expiry or CVV, during or after transactions. CIUS not only securely transmits this credit information, but the entire site is encrypted through our SHA-256 SSL Certificate between you, our server, and to our Merchant Processor to complete the sale and it is never stored in our database records. These factors ensure that CIUSPress meets the highest security standards for the industry.

CIUSPress does not sell or share any of your account data with any other party, business, or entity. We respect your privacy. CIUSPress uses Google Analytics to improve site traffic metrics to better serve you. Metrics data is privacy protected under Google Analytics’ terms, your personal data is not shared.

  • Is my credit card safe in my account?

Yes! CIUSPress does not store your credit card or credit card details! Therefore your card is safe as CIUSPress never “sees” your credit transaction.


Ordering

  • How do I pay?

CIUSPress uses all major credit cards: VISA, MasterCard & American Express. During checkout you will be prompted to enter these details.

All purchases are in Canadian dollars $ and your credit card company will make the appropriate exchange to your default currency as offered by them on the date of purchase.

CIUS will never ask for your credit card in an email or over the phone. Never share your credit card in an email or over the phone. only through the CIUSPress site’s secure ecommerce portal. This is in accord with the PCI compliance. CIUSPress.com is PCI Compliant: SAQ Type A, PCI Level 4, for Ecommerce Data Security.

  • Why isn’t my purchase going through?

Purchases require a valid credit card. The geographic location of your account and credit card must also align. Please use a credit card from your region. If you are still having problems, please ensure you have Java Script working in your browser and you are not using a VPN. VPN’s can cause issues with the site and credit card processing and are not recommended. If the problem continues, then please contact us at the CIUSPress web admin to diagnose your issue. Remember: CIUSPress.com is PCI Compliant: SAQ Type A, PCI Level 4, for Ecommerce Data Security – We insist you never share Credit Card info over email communications.

  • Where’s my order?

All orders are shipped via Canada Post. CIUS offers a flat rate through Canada Post 

We do not have any expedited shipping method at this time

Shipping usually takes 7 days to Canada. 12 days To America and 3+ weeks to Europe, Australia and other countries.

Orders require a valid phone number in case we need to contact you.

We do not provide a shipping tracking number when the order is sent out.

You will receive an email confirming the successful purchase of your order from CIUSPress.com If you have an issue or have a question, please do not reply to the order confirmation email as it will not be checked. Use the contact us form and submit it to the sales/publications admin dept. (not the web/technical dept).


Publications

  • I’m looking for a book that seems to be out of print, but CIUSPress used to carry it, is it available?
  • Are you going to publish or sell a particular publication that is not on the site?
  • Are you interested to publish my article, book, manuscript etc?

Publication questions can be directed to the sales/publications contact us form (not the web technical dept’s form).


My Account

  • Do I need to set up an account?

Currently you do not need to set up an account to make a purchase, but you will be required to provide the most of the same information to complete the shipping requirements. This includes name, address, email and phone number.

  • Why am I having trouble getting into my account?

Your account is maintained with the PCI security protocols listed above. You will be required to complete a Captcha test to prove you are not a bot.

If you have lost or forgotten your password, you can recover your password to the email account on file at CIUS. Please double check your SPAM mail to ensure our email from CIUSPress.com is not being blocked. Be sure to accept this email so as not to end up in SPAM.

To increase security CIUS has a strict passcode policy and will only allow a specific number of attempts to log in before being locked out for several days.
If you feel you have been locked out incorrectly then please contact the web admin with details and we will be able to rectify the lock out faster than the prescribed automatic reset time out.

  • Is my credit card safe in my account?

Yes! CIUSPress does not store your credit card or credit card details! Therefore your card is safe as CIUSPress never “sees” your credit transaction.


Technical

  • The site is not working as I expected. Is something broken?

If the site is not working as expected. Please copy and paste (link) the page URL, tell us your account name, and record the date and time and your time zone this happened. Take a screen shot if possible and contact us to the web admin technical dept. and describe what happened, what you expected to happen and your browser type.
We appreciate suggestions and your patience if any glitch arises.
