A study of national consciousness based on a sociological survey of Ukrainian students in nine institutions of higher learning in Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Lutsk, Odesa, and Uzhhorod. The survey was carried out by a team of scholars from Lviv University in late 1991, just before Ukraine’s independence referendum.
